What's my IP?
This is the public IP address that websites and APIs see when you connect. It belongs to your network, not your device, and it is the address a partner would add to an allowlist.
Your public IP address
IPv4You are connecting over IPv4.
Egress IP vs device IP
Your device IP is the local address your router gives you, often something like 192.168.1.20. Nobody outside your network sees it.
Your egress IP is the public address your traffic leaves from. Every server you call sees this address, and it is the one shown above. For an app in the cloud, the egress IP is the address of the platform's outbound network, not your laptop.
Why serverless egress IPs change
Serverless and PaaS platforms run your code on shared machines. Outbound traffic leaves from a large, shared pool of addresses that changes as the platform scales and moves workloads.
A static egress IP fixes that. Route outbound requests through a proxy with a fixed IP pair, and allowlist those two addresses once. That is what Fixedmark does.
Check your IP from the command line
The same lookup is available as a plain endpoint. It returns plain text by default, or JSON when you ask for it. Run it from your app or a build step to see that environment's egress IP.
curl https://fixedmark.com/api/ipcurl -H "Accept: application/json" https://fixedmark.com/api/ip
# {"ip":"203.0.113.7","version":4}curl --proxy "$FIXEDMARK_PROXY_URL" https://fixedmark.com/api/ipThe last line checks the IP your partners see through a Fixedmark proxy. See the docs for client setup.

Frequently asked questions
What is my public IP address?
It is the address websites and APIs see when your device connects to them. This page reads it from your request and shows it at the top. It is usually your router's or mobile carrier's address, not your device's local address.
What is the difference between IPv4 and IPv6?
IPv4 addresses look like 203.0.113.7 and are in short supply. IPv6 addresses look like 2001:db8::7 and are plentiful. Many allowlists still accept IPv4 only, so a static IPv4 address is what most partners ask for.
Why does my serverless function's IP keep changing?
Platforms like Vercel, Netlify, Supabase Edge Functions, and AWS Lambda run your code on shared machines across a large pool of addresses. Each run can leave from a different IP, so an allowlist entry that works today can fail tomorrow.
How do I check my app's egress IP?
Run curl https://fixedmark.com/api/ip from inside your app or its build step. Through a proxy, add --proxy "$FIXEDMARK_PROXY_URL" to see the IP your partners will see.
Does Fixedmark store my IP address?
No. This page and the /api/ip endpoint read your IP to show it to you and do not store it.
Make it fixed.
Fixedmark is in early access. Join the list to get dedicated static IPs when your region opens.
